The Deer and the Woodcutter - A Korean Folktale

This book, based on a popular Korean folktale, tells us why roosters look up and cry loudly at dawn. A lovelorn woodcutter married a beautiful fairy by trickery, with the help of a deer. When the fairy discovered his dishonesty and returned to the heavens leaving him alone again, he turned into a rooster, calling out for her every day.
